In this video, Dr. Sarah Kremen, a behavioral neurologist and director of the Neurobehavior Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, discusses her work with patients suffering from Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. She highlights her research on clinical trials and observational studies, focusing on those at risk of developing Alzheimer’s and those already diagnosed. Dr. Kremen is also dedicated to improving dementia evaluation and detection in primary care and raising community awareness about Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Dr. Zaldy Tan, director of the Cedars-Sinai Health System / Memory & Aging Program, discussed the common symptoms of dementia in the early, middle, and late stages of the disease.

“Diagnose and adios.” That’s the sad phrase that I’ve heard quoted more than once, representing caregivers’ sentiment of what it’s like to be told by a clinician that your loved one has dementia. This week we talked with Zaldy Tan, Geriatrician and Director of the Memory and Aging program at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles.
