Rita's Story

Rita is a caregiver for her father, who has dementia. She speaks about how important it is for persons living with dementia to remain socially connected with others. Rita enrolled her father in an intergenerational program called TimeOut that allowed him to hold virtual conversations weekly with a college student interested in aging. To Rita’s surprise, her father connected with his college student partner and instantly felt heard.
